Among the more impressive looking prospects in Clemson for Saturday’s 16-6 win over Syracuse was 2017 quarterback Lowell Narcisse.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect from St. James High School in Louisiana was joined on the trip by his cousin, former Clemson fullback Chad Jasmin.
Narcisse spoke with TheClemsonInsider on Tuesday night.
“It was really nice. The atmosphere was loud. It was exciting watching them come down The Hill. I really enjoyed it,” he said.
Before the game, Narcisse and Jasmin spoke with running backs coach Tony Elliott, a teammate of Jasmin’s during their time at Clemson.
“(Jasmin) said it was a good program and I needed to come there, I would fit their system really good,” Narcisse said.
So far this season, he’s completed 147 of 254 passes for 2,2281 yards with 22 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Narcisse has also rushed and 880 yards nine touchdowns.
Illinois is the only school with an offer out, but Auburn, LSU and Arizona State have expressed interest in the left-handed quarterback.
Clemson, of course, maintains a steady line of communication.
“They run kind of the same offense we run, zone read, so it would be an easy transition from high school to college,” Narcisse said.
As a freshman, Narcisse completed 122 of 235 passes for 2,013 yards with 27 touchdowns and nine interceptions. He also rushed 159 times for 637 yards with 12 scores.
