Speaking of quarterbacks, just how good have they been after four spring practices?
Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and co-offensive coordinator Jeff Scott have said Nick Schuessler looks like another guy, while the two freshmen—Tucker Israel and Kelly Bryant—continue to learn as much as they can as the three battle to see who will back up Deshaun Watson this fall.
Watson of course is sitting out spring practice as he continues to recover from a December surgery to repair his ACL.
“It has been good,” Scott said. “Obviously, you never want anyone to get injured and you would love to have everyone out there full speed, but injuries are a part of the game and the silver lining in that is the other guys are getting reps. It is very rare you go through a season with all of your quarterbacks staying healthy the whole season so these are very valuable reps and I have been really pleased with all three of them.”
