Sophomore OL enjoys Junior Day

Tyler Fannin, one of the top offensive linemen in Georgia for the class of 2017, visited Clemson last weekend for Junior Day.

A sophomore at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, Fannin has been to Clemson several times over the years.

“It was a great visit. I got some 1-on-1 time with Dabo Swinney when we were in the locker room. I got invited back to camp by coach (Robbie) Caldwell and coach (Brent) Venables,” Fannin said.

That wasn’t the first time Fannin spoke with Swinney.

“I met him last time I was there and when I was at a camp when I was little,” Fannin said. “I got a picture with him and I showed him that and I got a picture when I was there with him yesterday, so it was nice catching up.”

What else stood out last Saturday?

“It was the first time I got to put on a Clemson jersey. I was with my brother when he got to do it, so it was the first time I got to do that. We got to take a picture at Howard’s Rock. That was pretty cool. That was fun.”

Fannin visited Vanderbilt this weekend. He was also scheduled to stop by Middle Tennessee, where his brother Josh will enroll later this year, to play along the offensive line.

Ole Miss, Duke, N.C. State and Wake Forest have invited Fannin to visit for junior days and/or camps.
