How do you feel about newspapers charging for online access?

The NY Times announced this week that they were going to start charging a subscription to access the Times. Their plan is you get 20 articles a month free, and then you need a subscription. The cheapest being $15 every 4 weeks.

I am a news hound. I will read articles from dozens of newspapers during a normal week. If it is an active news cycle I might visit 10-15 newspapers/news sites in a day, depending on the situation. I have yet to pay for this access because I can usually find similar articles from other sources, but there are still columns I want to read that are just in the Times, or exclusive stories.

I understand it costs money to run a newspaper, but I can't bring myself to paying for a subscription for online access, especially not $15 a month. I love the Times, but I'll have to explore other options for my news.

Unfortunately, it is just a sign of the times. The internet has killed the newspaper

Newspapers are losing money bc of the internet, were you can read the paper for free and read about local/state news no matter were you are at.

However I still like to read the news from the newspaper, whenever I go home I buy a paper(Post & Courier) everyday to read.
