According to Jeffrey and Wilson, Kiffin told Jeffrey that if he chose the Gamecocks, he would end up pumping gas for the rest of his life like all the other players from that state who had gone to South Carolina.

Only the lucky ones get to pump gas. The rest are making license plates while serve 20 to life.

Very true.....but Spurrier has toned his down a tad since he can no longer back it up on the field. Question is, can Kiffin back it up on the field?

There are several states where it is still illegal for stations to let customers pump their own gas, believe it or not.

Recognizing that it's usuc that he's talking about, I would think that a GOOD coach would take the high road. Negative marketing will ultimately be a minus rather than a plus.

So long as he's winning (like Spurrier) he'll get away with it. If he's ever a loser, it will come back and stick all over him.

I thought we out-sourced all those jobs to Mexico......
