I think that loss was much harder on me than the basketball loss was.....

Tough day yesterday. Wish Tigers could have pulled off one.

Now the question is would you rather have won the basketball game or the baseball yesterday? tough call there

Basketball, no doubt.

the baseball team is still very young but the basketball team is experienced and should have won that game.

I wish we could be more consistent.

Hello, everybody. If you didn't see my previous post, I'm John Brasier, Robert's TCI partner. I'll be your source at Clemson.
As for baseball, it's never good to lose to USC. Still, I saw lots of positives on a rainy Saturday:
Trey Delk and Casey Harman pitched extremely well. The Tiger defense was solid with the exception of a few difficult chances on fouls that dropped to the ground. Matt Sanders crushed a home run off USC ace Sam Dyson. Freshman shortstop Brad Miller looked solid.
Umpiring was a factor in the lack of hitting for both teams. Every inning included at least one called strike that appeared far out of the strike zone.
I didn't read this anywhere else, but ALL SEVEN STRIKEOUTS of Clemson hitters came on called third strikes. I've never seen anything like that. That should tell you something.
Good strategy by Coach Leggett to move the Furman game to Tuesday. With a series at UNC scheduled this weekend, the Tigers need to get all the at-bats they can get.
Welcome to TCI!
