If you have watched or listened to tiger baseball this year you know that the first 10 or so games were terrible when it comes to bunting. Hell players wouldn't even attempt a bunt on a suicide squeeze called by Leggett and several bunts were popped up to the pitcher or the catcher.

This weekend has seen the tigers put every single bunt they've attempted into the field of play including two suiced squeeze plays. Good to see the coaching and improvement in this area. The tigers rely on the small ball and when they do the small ball well, the big hitters tend to hit more homers.

Great point. Sure wish they could have held the lead today.

Yet we are still playing small ball too much, but try telling that to Leggett.

we doubled to lead off an inning saturday night and then leggett had the guy batting .341 at the time bunt him over to third so that the next two guys batting in the low 2 hundreds could both pop out to end the inning scoreless.

Clemson's game will certainly be the 3-1, 3-2 games. Push a couple runs across the plate, not wait on big innings, and rely on solid pitching. Unfortunately, with the walks and errors this weekend, good teams like FSU will beat you.

The small ball may be a reaction to the fact that at no time has the entire lineup been hot. AJ struggled, but is now heating up. Now the bottom of the lineup is going cold.
