Jenkins Impressive in Scrimmage

Ryan Jenkins had an outstanding performance last weekend in the final scrimmage before his senior season.

“We had a scrimmage against Flowery Branch.  I had five catched for a little over 100 yards,” said Jenkins.

Lassister opens the season against Hillgrove.

“We play Hillgrove in the West Cobb East Cobb classic,” said Jenkins.

Ryan made the move to Lassiter season before for his senior season.  How has the move gone so far?

“It is going great.  We throw the ball all over the field and we have a state championship caliber team,” said Jenkins.

Older brother Martin had surgery on Thursday and will red-shirt this season and have two years of eligibility left with the Tigers.

“He has handled it real well.  Of course he wants to go out there and play with his team but he knows that red-shirting is the best thing for him in the long run,” said Jenkins.

Ryan believes his senior season could end with a state title.

“I think we have all the pieces in place to make a run at the state championship,” said Jenkins.
