Clemson verbal commitment Dane Rogers visited Clemson Saturday where he watched the Tigers whip the Hokies.
“It was great. I had a really good time. My sister went with me. She had a great time also,” said Rogers.
Dane sees a Clemson defense that is improving as the season progresses.
“The defense is getting better and better each week. It was great to see them close to shutting them out in the second half. Virginia Tech has a great offense and Logan Thomas is a guy that is heading to the NFL,” said Rogers.
How did the top defensive end like seeing Carlos Watkins getting more playing time Saturday against the Hokies.
“It was good to see him out there. It was good to see him get as much playing time as a true freshman. I see good things in his future,” said Rogers.
Dane looks forward to playing with is cousin Carlos on the Clemson defensive line.
“I can’t wait. Ever since the conference games have started I have wanted to get out there and play,” said Rogers.
Dane is having an outstanding senior season.
“Our season is going great. I would have never thought we would see 9-1. We had some doubts on the team after we lost. We thought it would be hard to get the offense where we wanted it to be. It shows that hard work really pays off. We haven’t lost in conference and are playing for the conference championship. We swept the county. It is the best year that I have been at Crest,” said Rogers.
Expect to see the Crest standout back in the Valley more this season.
“I will be back for Homecoming for Maryland. I should also be back for NC State,” said Rogers.
What is Dane hearing from the Clemson staff?
“They just tell me to keep doing what I am doing. They tell me to stay healthy and say they will see me in Tigertown,” replied Rogers.
