Clemson verbal commitment Dane Rogers visited Death Valley Saturday to watch the Tigers battle South Carolina.
“You know I was there for that one. It was great. I had a cold but I wasn’t going to miss it,” said Rogers.
How did Dane enjoy the atmosphere in the Valley.
“I enjoyed every bit of it. The environment was great. It is every game, but every seat was full. I wish they would have pulled it out,” said Rogers.
Coach Brooks stopped by to see Dane on Monday.
“Coach Brooks stopped by today. He came by the school and then came to the house and we talked things over. He told me I should see the field next year. He told me to stay humble and do what I can in school. I have a big goal. I want to finish perfect this semester. I had straight A’s the first quarter. I am try to prove to everyone that I can get the job done. I just need to finish strong this quarter,” said Rogers.
Dane is starting to build a strong relationship with his future bookend.
“I met Shaq on Saturday. He is a real cool, funny guy. He is kind of like me. I am goofy and so is he. We are both going to be defensive ends. We are going to stick together. We are going to be like brothers. It is going to be crazy,” said Rogers.
Dane got to speak with his cousin Carlos Saturday.
“I saw him after the game. I was going to come by his place but I couldn’t because of my cold. We stay in touch more often now. It was good seeing him out there. I can’t wait to play with him at Clemson,” said Rogers.
