TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with future defensive back Cordrea Tankersley earlier this week as he prepares to finish school at Hargrave and enroll early at Clemson.
“I have less than three weeks of school left. I will be there on January 4,” said Tankersley.
The Clemson staff has made a couple of visits to Hargrave to check on Cordrea and Shaq Lawson the past few weeks.
“Coach Cheese stopped by last Monday and coach Hobby came by today,” said Tankersley.
What is the prize recruit hearing from the Clemson coaches?
“It is always good to see them. They are just ready for Shaq and I to get up there in early January and compete,” said Tankersley.
What are the coaches telling the Hargrave standout about where he will play for the Tigers?
“They are telling me at both corner and safety, but I am going to start out at corner,” replied Tankersley.
Cordrea’s dream is about to come true when he enrolls in early January.
“Words can’t explain how excited I am. I’m looking forward to living this journey I’ve dreamed of,” said Tankersley.
