McCrary taking it slow

Jacob McCrary is one of the top 2014 receivers in Florida.  Clemson is one of the top programs that has already offered the Florida standout.

“I don’t know how many I have right now.  Some of the top ones are Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame and West Virginia,” said McCrary.

Coach Venables recruits the Miami area for the Tigers.

“I am being recruited by coach Scott and coach Venables.  I met coach Scott this spring.  I met coach Venables about three weeks ago.  He came to my basketball game and watched me,” said McCrary.

Jacob has backed off an earlier commitment to Florida State and now plans to take his time.

“I am trying to take it slow.  After the decommit from Florida State I want to take my time and look at every school and see what the best fit is,” said McCrary.

What will be the most important factors when the Florida standout selects his college destination?

“Academics will be the most important.  I want to find a place that feels like home.  I want to find an offense that can fit the player I am.  I want to play in the spread offense,” replied McCrary.

Jacob doesn’t claim any favorites right now.

“They are all great schools.  It is going to be a tough one for me.  I like Florida State and Clemson a lot.  At the end of the day I will find the one I am most comfortable with,” said McCrary.

Don’t expect an early decision from the prize recruit.

“I am probably going to wait until the Under Armour All-American game or signing day,” said McCrary.
