NCAA Regional Host Watch

The 2013 baseball season is in the home stretch and Clemson is in contention to host an NCAA Regional.  Each week we will take a look at where the Tigers stand in the push to host.

The path to the Super Regionals and much easier for the teams that are named a Regional Host.  A number of factors are considered when selecting the teams to host including record, RPI, Strength of Schedule (SOS), facilities, bids and other factors.

As the regular season ends Clemson appears to be positioned to host a regional with an RPI of 12 and Strength of Schedule of 7.  The ACC finishes the regular season with three of the top four RPI’s.  North Carolina and Florida State will play one final game Monday night.

This week’s TCI Regional Host projections are:
