Offered and ready to visit

Earlier this month, Clemson offensive line coach informed 2016 prospect Parker Bourdreaux that Clemson was ready to pull the trigger.

The four-star prospect from Moore Catholic High School in Orlando, Florida recently spoke with TheClemsonInsider about his offer, visit schedule and long-term plans.

“I messaged (Caldwell) my highlight film of my first game. I think it was Sept. 1, so he could message me on Twitter. He told me to call him and I called him,” Bourdreaux said. “He said that he saw my film, they loved my grades and everything. They think I’m an outstanding player and they really want me at Clemson and he said I had a full-ride, so that was really, really exciting.”

Caldwell and the Clemson staff will have Bourdreaux on campus next weekend when the Tigers host UNC.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting all the coaches and just seeing how comfortable the campus is, all the great fans and how crazy it is on game day,” Bourdreaux said. “I absolutely love how they enter stadium. I think that’s the best thing ever. I think that’s really cool.”

UCF will host him this weekend for a visit. The Friday before his trip up to Clemson, he’ll visit Georgia Southern. Bourdreaux will also take a visit to Penn State for the Ohio State game and to Miami for the Duke game.

With close to 50 offers to his name, Bourdreaux is still putting together a list of favorites.

“I think after the season I’m going to start narrowing down the list and everything,” he said.

Several factors will be considered.

“Really, just like the comfort, how the coaches coach, how the community is, the academics and the comfort for me,” Bourdreaux said.
