Venables has no advantages over Oklahoma

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables said his defensive players and coaches have not watched last year’s 40-6 victory over Oklahoma in the Russell Athletic Bowl at all because the Sooners have new offensive coaches and a new scheme.

On Monday Venables met with the media to discuss the Capital One Orange Bowl matchup against the No. 4 Sooners as well as his relationship with his former boss and mentor, Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops.
