Leggett to return, others non-committal

GLENDALE, Ariz. – After Monday night’s National Championship loss to Alabama, Jordan Leggett told reporters that he will return for his senior season.

He was the only early entry draft candidate to make a definitive answer, during post-game availability in the locker room.

“I’m pretty excited about it,” Leggett said. “We have a lot of weapons coming back, so I’m not going to leave the No. 1 quarterback in the nation.”

Kevin Dodd, who had five tackles for loss and three sacks, told reporters that he’ll make an announcement at a later date.

“I’m going to get back to the house and sit down with family and (think) about the opportunity,” he said.

It’s the same story for Wayne Gallman.

“I have no clue right now,” he said.

The decision will be weighed with advice from several different people.

“I’ll be talking to my coaches and my family,” Gallman said.

Carlos Watkins also said he will announce his plans at a later date. Mackensie Alexander and Jayron Kearse had no comment.

Shaq Lawson had previously announced his intent to forgo his senior season.
