TCI Hitter-of-the Week              #8 Weston Wilson

The junior second baseman from High Point, NC went 6-for-11 (.545) in three games last week for Clemson. Wilson had a double, two RBI, four runs, a walk, HBP, and sac fly for the weekend.

TCI Pitcher-of-the-Week            #36 Pat Krall

The junior from Dowington, PA got his season off to a good start on Saturday. In 3.2 innings of relief, Krall did not allow a run on one hit (.083 OBA) with a walk and six strikeouts.

Weekend Notes:

Clemson took two of three games from Maine this weekend at Doug Kingsmore Stadium to open the 2016 season. The Tigers outscored the Black Bears 31-10 while outhitting them .308 (33 hits) to .252 (26 hits). On the weekend, Clemson had eight doubles, two homers, 18 walks, and nine HBPs against 20 strikeouts while going 5-5 on stolen bases. The Tiger pitching staff finished the weekend with a 3.00 ERA, allowing 10 runs (nine earned) in 27.0 innings with eight walks against 30 strikeouts. Clemson fielded at a .982 clip, committing two errors in 112 chances.
