Clemson without key receiver vs. FSU

CLEMSON — The Clemson Tigers will be without a key weapon on offense against the No. 4 Florida State Seminoles.

Starting wide receiver Antonio Williams is out after suffering an injury during the game against Florida Atlantic that made him gimpy in the second quarter. He returned to the game, but the issue lingered throughout the practice week.

Through three games, Williams has 136 yards and two touchdowns. The loss is massive for Garrett Riley’s offense, and more weight goes to freshman Tyler Brown to produce in the slot.

As expected, starting right guard Walker Parks is out with an injury that dates back to fall camp. He had a boot on before the season, but powered through with heavy tape in the first few weeks. Mitchell Mayes played a majority of snaps against FAU, and he’ll have to do the same against the Seminoles.

In positive news, defensive back Andrew Mukuba is back after a two-week absence to boost the Tigers secondary. Kickoff is at noon in Death Valley, televised on ABC.
