Wearing the Paw ‘a Dream Come True’ for Brown

Clemson freshman receiver Tyler Brown joined ACC Network’s ACC PM show this week after being named ACC Receiver of the Week and ACC Rookie of the Week for his performance at Syracuse last Saturday, when he recorded career highs in receptions (nine) and receiving yards (153).

It’s the fifth-most receiving yards in a game by a Clemson true freshman in program history, and the most by any Tiger wide receiver since 2020.

During the ACC Network interview, Brown discussed how playing for Clemson is a dream come true for him and what it’s like to be wearing the Tiger paw as a kid from Greenville who grew up in the university’s backyard.

“As far back as I can remember, man, it’s always been purple and orange straight out the womb,” said Brown, who has 21 receptions for 316 yards and two touchdowns in five games as a Tiger.

“Clemson family, every Saturday we’re watching Sammy (Watkins), Tajh (Boyd), all them boys. As far as I can remember, we had watch parties until I got here. So, honestly, a dream come true having that paw and I’m going to do whatever I can in that paw.”
