Clemson Connection Comes Through Yet Again for Jags

Jacksonville’s Clemson connection hooked up for a huge play in the Jaguars’ 20-10 road victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne broke the game open with around five minutes remaining in the third quarter when Lawrence threw a rope to Etienne down the sideline for a 56-yard touchdown that gave the Jaguars a two-touchdown lead.

Etienne rushed for 79 yards on 24 carries while catching three passes for 70 yards and the touchdown, after which he ran for the two-point conversion to make the score 17-3.

Lawrence, meanwhile, went 24-of-32 passing for 292 yards with the touchdown pass and an interception.

Sunday marked the fifth straight win for the Jaguars (6-2), who stand atop the AFC South heading into their upcoming bye week.

Etienne’s 56-yard touchdown reception is a career-best and the longest touchdown reception against the Steelers in Jaguars history, according to the Jaguars’ PR Department.
