5-star defensive tackle Montravius Adams will be visiting the Tigers on Friday, but it won’t be in Clemson.

“I am going to Auburn on Friday.  My mom, my girlfriend, her mother and my nephew will be coming with me,” said Adams.

The nation’s top defensive tackle has been to Auburn several times and this will be the second trip for his mother.  What does Montravius hope to see this weekend?

“I just want to hand out with the coaches a little bit.  I want to let my momma get a feel for the school.  I want to hang out with some of the players,” Adams told TheClemsonInsider.com.

Does the decision to visit Auburn this weekend instead of going to the All In BBQ in Clemson mean the Tigers in Alabama are now ahead of the Tigers from the Palmetto state?

“Not really.  Those are both the schools I like,” replied Adams.

Would Clemson and Auburn be the leaders at this point?

“Kind of,” replied Adams.

Does the prize recruit have any other visit planned in the next few weeks?

“This will probably be my last one.  We start school on Tuesday.  Tuesday is also my birthday,” said Adams.
