TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with Clemson verbal commitment Elijah Daniel who has been working hard to prepare for his senior season.
“I have been working out and practicing with the team. We have been doing a lot of conditioning,” said Daniel.
How does the 6-3, 250 pound defensive end feel Avon will do this season.
“I feel like we should be real good. We will have to first make the playoffs and then see how we do. We will see how far we can go this year,” said Daniel.
The Clemson staff keeps in touch with their prize recruit.
“I talk with coach Hobby and coach Venables. They just want to see what’s up and keep in touch. We talk about what they are doing to prepare for the season. They talk about what it will be like when I get down there,” replied Daniel.
Elijah got to know a couple of his future teammates at The Opening.
“I hung out with O’Daniels and Jenkins,” said Daniel.
The Avon, Indiana standout is part of one of the top defensive line classes in the nation. Elijah expects the 2013 class to make an immediate impact.
“I feel like it is a really good class. It can always get better. Hopefully we can add Montravius. I feel like our freshman year we can come in and make a big impact,” said Daniel.
Expect to see the 4-star defensive end in the Valley this fall.
“I have to check my schedule to see which games I can come to, but I will definitely be down to see some games,” said Daniel.
