4-star athlete Jayron Kearse ended the drama Thursday afternoon and called Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney to tell him he wanted to commit to Clemson.
The offer list for the prize recruit included many of the top programs in the nation. Among the offers were Notre Dame, Auburn, Arizona, Boston College, Georgia, Miami, Southern Cal, South Carolina, West Virginia, North Carolina and Miami.
Jayron is expected to play defensive back for the Tigers. As a junior the Fort Myers standout had 35 tackles and two interceptions. On offense he rushed for 1,473 yards and 17 touchdowns.
