Swinney On Today’s Practice:
“First day of pads and like you would hope to see the first day of pads, a lot of intensity and very physical. We didn’t have great footing; we had a bunch of rain dropped on us before we came out. I thought the guys competed really really hard today. So far they have been a very workman like group as they have shown up every day. Good first day, very physical, and again, good competition on both sides,” said Swinney.
On Some Of The Focus Of Today’s Practice:
“We are working on a lot of situation stuff right now, trying to get them prepared for the scrimmage this Saturday. We worked a lot of green zone, red zone, short yardage. We have worked a lot of third down these last few days as well as some open field normal type stuff. I think we are right on track,” said Swinney.
Gifford Timothy Injury Update:
“Anytime somebody tweaks their knee it worries you until you get the results back. They think he is going to be okay. I don’t really know, hopefully it is his PCL. If that is what he is he should be ok. That is not something that you fix or do surgery on or something like that. That is what I hope it is, that is kind of the on field assessment but you never know until you clean them up and get n there and look at them. Hopefully he will be okay, he has had a good camp so far,” said Swinney.
