2015 receiver Freddie Phillips was impressed with the Clemson offense Saturday as he watched the Tigers defeat Boston College on television.
“I watched. I was a little upset Sammy wasn’t playing. Other than that everything looked great, especially DeAndre Hopkins. He and Tajh couldn’t be stopped. I really like their offense,” said Phillips.
Freddie helped lead Pelion to victory Friday night as they opened regional play.
“It went pretty good. We played our first regional game and won in overtime. I had three catches for 45 yards and also six tackles,” said Phillips.
How would the super sophomore like to play in the Tiger’s offense?
“I would really enjoy that. Clemson has a very pass friendly offense,” said Phillips.
Freddie will be back in the Valley in October.
“I was hoping to come this weekend, but I couldn’t make it. I will be there for Virginia Tech,” said Phillips.
When asked about his current leaders, Phillips responded, “I am still open”.
