Coach Leggett and the Clemson Tigers picked up a verbal commitment Saturday from 2014 utility player Chase Pinder.

Pinder was on campus for an unofficial visit when he told the staff he wanted to be a Tiger.  The Posquano, VA prospect had offers from Duke, Virginia Tech, NC State, Central Florida and East Carolina.

Pinder, who’s brother plays for Virginia Tech, was an all-state shortstop as a sophomore but can also play the outfield.
