Clemson verbal commitment Elijah Daniel has finished his impressive senior season.
“Our season ended the week before last. I had a good season. I finished with 80 tackles, 12 sacks and 40 quarterback hurries,” said Daniel.
The top defensive end plans to visit Death Valley in the next couple of weeks.
“I will get down to Clemson in the next two weeks. I haven’t decided which game yet. I need to talk with my coach,” said Daniel.
Coach Venables keeps in touch with Elijah.
“He just tells me to continue to work hard on and off the field. In the classroom and the weight room. He tells me not to let others drag out my commitment,” said Daniel.
Rumors have swirled about the prize recruit backing off his commitment to the Tigers. Where does he stand with his commitment right now?
“I am still staying with it. I am pretty strong with Clemson. When I get back down there it should help,” replied Daniel.
Will the 4-star defensive end take other visits?
“That is still up in the air,” said Daniel.
Who would get visits if he decides to take other visits?
“I am not even sure yet,” said Daniel.
The decommitment of Robert Nkemdiche doesn’t have any impact on his decision.
“It doesn’t really impact me at all. He is going to do what he needs to do. It is what it is,” said Daniel.
