Swinney has compiled a 15-2 home field record at Death Valley and his winning percentage is the second best in league history for three or more seasons, trailing only former Clemson head coach Ken Hatfield who was 12-1-1 (.893) in four seasons in Tigertown.
2 – Clemson QB Tajh Boyd ranks second nationally in pass efficiency. Boyd, who has thrown 13 TDs over the past three games, has a pass efficiency rating of 171.99.
3 – NC State ranks third nationally in third-down conversion defense (38-150, .253).
7.80 – The average number of tackles for loss per game by NC State this season, good for second in the ACC and seventh nationally.
13 – The number of players on the Wolfpack squad that have earned their first career starts this season.
14 – The number of TD receptions for Clemson WR DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins total is already fifth best in ACC history and only three from the ACC record.
17 – The number of career INTs for NC State CB David Amerson, tied for fourth in ACC history. The Wolfpack are 11-2 when Amerson records an INT.
32 – The number of sacks allowed by NC State this season, including 13 sacks allowed in the last three contests.
37 – With a 45-point outing against Maryland, Clemson became the only team in ACC history to score 37 or more points in nine consecutive games. The Tigers have averaged 44.8 points per game during the streak.
