Ask TCI

Time for the latest edition of Ask TCI.  Each week we will take questions on the message board The Rock.  We will take questions up until midnight on Tuesday.

Each weekend we will run our Ask TCI feature with answers to some of the questions asked by the Clemson Insiders.  Make sure to get your questions in next week.

Question – Which current recruits are early enroll?

TCI – Jordan Leggett, DeMarcus Robinson, Jadar Johnson, Shaq Lawson and Cordrea Tankersl

Question – If Breeland cannot go this weekend, who do you think the coaches will match up gainst Damiere Byrd? Kid can fly, and Brewer has been burned quite often. Peters perhaps?

TCI – Byrd is not a major player in the South Carolina defense.  Peters and Brewer will get the starts at corner.

The biggest concern for Clemson will be getting pressure on Connor Shaw, but also to keep containment.

Question – How interested in us are Carl Lawson and Ebenezer Ogundeko in us?

TCI – Lawson is very interested in Clemson.  He will be on campus for a visit Saturday.  Lawson picked a visit to Clemson over a trip to Florida State this weekend.

Ogundeko will be on campus for an official visit this weekend.  As you know from our Insider Report last week there were some that thought he might commit during his visit to Florida last week.

Clemson will give both a full court press this weekend.

Also we have confirmation tonight that Adams plans to be in the Valley Saturday night.

Question – With Breeland questionable do you think we will see Adam Humphries at CB this week?

TCI – Brewer and Peters will get the start at corner.  The staff will try to get it done with them and Davis.  Humphries has been practicing some at corner so he will be available to contribute there if necessary.

Question – In your opinion, how does conference realignment shake out now that the first blow has been landed. If the ACC goes UCONN, are we gone?

TCI – It is still hard to predict how conference realignment will end.  If the ACC decides to add UCONN it will definitely be a decision that Clemson and the other football schools will not like.  I wouldn’t go as far as to say Clemson will be gone if UCONN is added.

Clemson would like to stay in the ACC as long as they feel like they have a chance to compete for a national championship.  Right now that is still the case, with or without UCONN.

If others started to leave the conference Clemson would certainly evaluate things differently.

As we have said Clemson will try to do what is best for their future.  The hard part is predicting the future as the college landscape changes so quickly.

Question – Heard VT might be next to bolt from the ACC……any word on those rumors?

TCI – At this point that that is just a rumor.  We don’t have any credible information that makes us believe a move by Virginia Tech is in the works.
