This is the biggest game of the rivalry when it comes to combined victories.  Clemson and South Carolina enter Saturday night’s game with a combined 19 wins.  Last year both teams were 9-2 entering the game.

Clemson has a record setting offense in 2012.  Last week Clemson set the single season scoring record with 491 points, 21 more than last season.  The Tigers already have 63 touchdowns, five more than last year’s record total of 58.

Dabo vs. South Carolina

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney has a combined 8-4 all-time record verse South Carolina as a player, assistant coach and head coach.  In his senior year Dabo first played South Carolina in 1992 where Alabama won 48-7.  He was on the Alabama coaching staff that defeated South Carolina in 1993 and 2000.  Dabo came to Clemson in 2003 and Clemson is 5-4 against South Carolina since then.

Efficient Quarterbacks

Both quarterbacks enter Saturday night’s game ranked in the top 20 in the nation in Passing Efficiency.  Tajh is ranked No. 2 while Shaw is 16th.

Beasley Third in ACC

Vic Beasley had three sacks against NC State giving him eight for the season.  That ranks Beasley third in the ACC behing Carradine (10.5) and Werner (9.5) of Florida State.
