Clemson verbal commitment Ryan Jenkins got a call Monday from new Tennessee head coach Butch Jones.

“It went real well.  Coach Jones called me himself.  They told me how much they like me on film.  They said how much they like me as a receiver,” said Jenkins.

Ryan said he enjoyed the conversation with coach Jones.

“He told me how he had Antonio Brown at Central Michigan and how he had over 300 catches.  It went real well.  He told me I have an offer,” said Jenkins.

Is Ryan going to visit Tennessee?

“I am considering visiting there.  I have been up there so many times growing up.  I went up there so much when I was growing up.  I wasn’t a fan, but I really liked them,” said Jenkins.

Ryan hasn’t talked with the Clemson staff about the visit yet.

“I haven’t talked to the Clemson coaches about it.  I am going to talk to them in the next couple of days.  I haven’t set an official with them yet.  I am just considering it,” said Jenkins.

“He just tells me he wants me to go the best place for me,” said Jenkins.
