Clemson verbal commitment Dane Rogers heard from the Clemson staff while they were in Atlanta.
“I heard from coach Brooks. He wished me a Merry Christmas and we just caught up. He told me about how things went in Atlanta. He told me how cold it was,” said Rogers.
Dane watched Clemson defeat No. 7 LSU Monday night.
“Oh yeah. I had my popcorn out. Go Tigers,” said Rogers.
Last month Dane represented North Carolina in the Shrine Bowl.
“It was great man. It was a blessing to have that opportunity to represent my state and my school. Unfortunately we didn’t win, but it was all about those kids at the Shriners hospital. We got a chance to put a smile on their face,” said Rogers.
How did Dane enjoy the holidays?
“It was smooth. It was real smooth,” said Rogers.
Dane plans to work hard in the classroom and the weight room in the offseason.
“I am just going to workout hard. I am going to get my knees healthy again. I am doing better now that the season is over. I am going to do what I am supposed to do this semester and then cruise next semester,” said Rogers.
