TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with Clemson verbal commitment Dorian O’Daniel after he attended the US Army All-American game.
“It was a great experience being able to compete in such a high caliber game with the top athletes in the country,” said O’Daniel.
The All-American experience should help Dorian when he plays at the next level.
“It will just help keep me humbled. In a way it gave me a preview of what the speed of the game and the size of the players will be like,” said O’Daniel.
During the week the prize recruit had a chance to get to know 5-star corner MacKensie Alexander who is one of the top remaining targets on Clemson’s recruiting board.
“We got along rather well. We’ll have to see how things play out. I mentioned Clemson to him, and I got the vibe that he does like Clemson so only time will tell,” said O’Daniel.
Dorian had a chance to watch DeMarcus Robinson during the week as they practiced against each other.
“I never really had to go against him in a 1-on-1 situation, but from what I saw he is definitely a player. He is easily one of the better receivers I have seen play,” said O’Daniel.
Next weekend the All-American will take his official visit to Clemson.
“There is nothing I haven’t already seen. I am just looking forward to having a good time with my family, coaches, and future teammates,” said O’Daniel.
