The nation’s top defensive tackle, Montravius Adams, took his official visit to Clemson over the weekend and came away impressed with what he saw in Tigertown.
“I enjoyed the visit a lot. It was a great visit. I really had a good time,” said Adams.
Montravius came with his family.
“I came with my mom and my sister. My mom really had a good time too,” said Adams.
What was the highlight of the visit for the prize recruit?
“It was meeting with coach Swinney. The biggest thing was we really didn’t talk about football. We talked about how he wants to make me a better person, not just a better football player,” said Adams.
Montravius is not ready to go on the record with a clear leader. Did the official visit to Tigertown help the Tigers chances of signing the 5-star defensive tackle?
“You can say that,” replied Adams.
There are two, possibly three, more official visits remaining.
“I am still planning to go to Alabama and Georgia. I don’t know if I’m going to go to Auburn,” said Adams.
Don’t expect an announcement on where Montravius will play his college football until National Signing Day.
“I am still planning to announce on signing day,” said Adams.
