The Clemson defense got a major boost for the future when Shaq Lawson got the news he was cleared to enroll at Clemson.

“It feels great to get cleared.  It feels like I have been waiting to get drafted,” said Lawson.

The 4-star defensive end got the good news earlier Monday from the Clemson staff.

“I was sleeping and coach Brad Scott called and told me,” said Lawson.

How did the family react to the good news?

“My mom and my family were crying when I told them,” said Lawson.

Shaq won’t waste any time moving into his apartment at Clemson.

“I am going to move in today,” said Lawson.

When will Shaq attend his first class?

“I will start classes on Tuesday,” said Lawson.
