Clemson was one of the first offers for 2014 linebacker Richard Yeargin III from Fort Lauderdale, FL.
“I have offers from Clemson, UCLA and Wisconsin,” said Yeargin.
The offer list should grow quickly over the spring.
“I just talked to Florida and they said they are going to offer soon. Georgia Tech is going to offer soon. Arkansas is going to offer soon and Notre Dame plans to this spring,” said Yeargin.
Coach Venables is recruiting the top junior for the Tigers.
“I love that guy. We have a close relationship. I can talk to him about anything,” said Yeargin.
Richard has already been to Clemson and he plans to get back to Tigertown.
“I visited Clemson last summer. I plan to get back,” said Yeargin.
When asked about his current favorites, Yeargin responded, “LSU, UCLA, Clemson, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Alabama”.
Don’t expect an early decision from the Florida standout.
“I am going to hold out until close to signing day,” said Yeargin.
What will be the most important factors when the top linebacker makes his decision?
“The most important thing will be a place where I feel at home. I will look at the education and a place that I feel like family,” replied Yeargin.
