4-star receiver James Clark took his official visit to Clemson over the weekend. TheClemsonInsider.com caught up with the prize recruit just after he left the visit to get the latest.
“It went great. I really enjoyed all of the people. The staff, facilities and academics were all great,” said Clark.
What was the highlight of the visit?
“I can’t really pick out one thing. It was all good. I guess maybe walking past the Rock,” replied Clark.
The coaches had a message for the speedster before he left campus.
“They told me there is a great opportunity for me to see the field early at Clemson. They said it is there if I want it,” said Clark.
Does James want that opportunity?
“I don’t really know yet. It is something I am going to have to think about in the next couple of days,” replied Clark.
Coach Morris spent a lot of time discussing Clemson’s high-powered offense during the visit.
“It is definitely one of the most explosive in the country. I feel like with my speed I could make some big plays,” said Clark.
How did James rate the visit on a scale of one to ten?
“I would probably give it a ten,” replied Clark.
James had planned to take one final visit to either Florida or Ohio State. Is another visit still in the plans?
“I don’t know. I really want to be done. The visits are taking too much time. I will think it over this week,” replied Clark.
Coach Swinney will have his in-home visit with James and his family this week. Clark tells TCI he plans to make his announcement on National Signing Day.
