Tigers clear leader for top 2014 WR

Jacob McCrary, one of the top receivers in the nation, visited Clemson over the weekend and came away very impressed.

“It was very good.  I got up there and it just felt like everything was nice.  The coaches were great.  They really got along with the players.  I enjoyed spending time with them,” said McCrary.

What was the highlight of the visit?

“I would have to say when it snowed for about five minutes.  I am from Miami so I have never seen snow before,” replied McCrary.

The Miami standout spent a lot of time over the weekend with another former South Florida superstar.

“I did hang out with Sammy a lot.  We had lunch together on Friday.  He is a great guy and he speaks highly about Clemson,” said McCrary.

Sammy told the top receiver why he fell in love with Clemson.

“He just told me Clemson is a place like no other.  I experienced it myself.  When I got there I left like everyone was there for you.  It is just that type of bond.  The people are great.  It is just something different about Clemson,” said McCrary.

Where else does Jacob plan to visit in the next few months?

“I know I will be going to Miami’s Junior Day.  Right now I am not sure of any others,” said McCrary.

After the weekend visit the Tigers are the clear leader.

“Right now Clemson is just far out the leader.  I don’t really have a top five.  Clemson just stands out above everyone,” said McCrary.
