5-11, 170 pound Kendall Randolph will be one of the top defensive backs in Florida for the 2014 class. Clemson is one of many top programs already recruiting the Lincoln High standout. A few Junior Day visits are already in the plans.
“I am definitely going to Florida and Florida State. I am not sure about any other visits yet. I need to coordinate those with my parents,” said Randolph.
When asked about his favorites, Randolph responded, “I really don’t have any. I am wide open right now”.
Clemson freshman standout Travis Blanks has a strong relationship with the prize recruit.
“I played with Travis my eighth grade year when I was at NFL before I went to Lincoln. He was like an older brother to me. He was like a mentor to me when I went to NFC. His work ethic was something I wanted to incorporate into my life. I saw what kind of person he was in the classroom. I just tried to reflect what he did so I could get the same results he did. We stayed really close. He helped me keep a good head on my shoulders,” said Randolph.
What does Travis tell Kendall about Clemson?
“He tells me it is a great place to be. He is real comfortable there. He said it is just a great experience,” said Randolph.
Kendall plans to visit Clemson this spring when he can spend some time with Travis.
“I have talked to him about coming up and spending some time with him. I want to come up and stay with him,” said Randolph.
What are Kendall’s strengths?
“I am an all-around player. I can be a physical corner, but I can also cover. I am very coachable with a good football IQ,,” said Randolph.
The decision timing for the Florida standout is not yet clear.
“Right now I don’t really have a time set. When I find a school I am comfortable at away from home I will make my decision,” said Randolph.
