Goose Creek 2014 standout Kalan Ritchie wasn’t able to make it to Clemson’s Elite Junior Day, but he will be in Tigertown early next month.
“I didn’t get to make it. I am going to get to Clemson on March 2 for their Junior Day,” said Ritchie.
A number of colleges, including Clemson, came by to visit with Kalan during the visit period prior to National Signing Day.
“Virginia Tech, Clemson, South Carolina and Connecticut came by. That is when Connecticut offered,” said Ritchie.
The offer list stands at four now.
“I have offers from Clemson, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Connecticut,” said Ritchie.
When asked about his favorites, Ritchie responded, “I don’t really have one right now. I am open”.
Coach Elliott is recruiting the Palmetto standout for the Tigers.
“We just talk about everything. We don’t always talk about football. Coach Elliott is great. I wouldn’t be a bad thing having him as a coach,” said Ritchie.
Don’t expect an early decision from Kalan.
“I am going to wait until my senior year and take some visits,” said Ritchie.
What will be the most important factors when making his college selection?
“Education will be. I am not sure about my major yet, but I will just be looking at their academics,” said Ritchie.
