5-star Elijah Hood wasn’t able to make it to Clemson’s Elite Junior Day but plans to make it back to Clemson soon.
“Unfortunately I missed it because I could not find a ride, but I really was looking forward to it,” said Hood.
The prize recruit has one Junior Day visit in the plans.
“I am planning on going to Notre Dame this weekend. I know I got to hit up some more Junior Days though,” said Hood.
The two-way standout could play either linebacker or running back in college. Does he have a preference?
“I was thinking linebacker, but I am making the switch to running back because I am really starting to feel comfortable there,” replied Hood.
The Charlotte Catholic standout is a top priority for the Clemson staff.
“I am hearing good things from Clemson. They really like me. They sent a huge folder in the mail recently highlighting the academics and their engineering program and stuff. I loved it,” said Hood.
Elijah has a top five that includes the Tigers.
“No. 1 Notre Dame. No. 2 is North Carolina, No. 3 Clemson and No. 4 Ohio State. Michigan and Georgia Tech are tied for No. 5. I’m trying to decide which one I want to keep that spot for now,” said Hood.
The next few months will be critical for Elijah plans to have a decision before the end of the summer.
“All I know for sure is it will be before my season starts,” said Hood.
