TheClemsonInsider.com caught up former Clemson great Ricky Sapp to get his thoughts on his season with the New York Jets.
“I really enjoyed it. I finally felt like I was part of the NFL,” said Sapp.
Many might have given up after suffers the injuries Ricky did over the past few years. It has been a long road back, but Ricky never gave up and finally saw the field in 2012.
“Man, it was a tough road for me. I have really been through a lot with my injuries, but I kept fighting and rehabbing and believing that I was going to make it and I did. It is truly a blessing to have the chance to play with the Jets,” said Sapp.
How did it feel to finally get a chance to play in the league?
“To be honest I am pretty hyped because I really feel that I can be a big playmaker in this league and make a name for myself,” said Sapp.
Ricky told Seth Ryan he would love Clemson before he made the official visit and committed to the Tigers.
“I talked with him before about Clemson and him coming to visit. I think it is great that he is coming to Clemson to walk-on and be a part of something special,” said Sapp.
Ricky is back at Clemson this semester.
“I am going to school at Clemson and training here,” said Sapp.
