4-star defensive end Andrew Williams is planning to get back to Clemson for another visit soon.
“I am probably going to visit on March 9. I have to take the SAT that day so I will have to see,” said Williams.
The Dawgs are also on the visit list for the prize recruit.
“I have been talking with the Georgia coaches. They have been wanting me to get back up there. I am going to try to go to Georgia before then,” said Williams.
Andrew is starting to pick which schools are at the top.
“I have narrowed it some, but I am not ready to go public. I am going to stick with the solid 11 for now,” said Williams.
Over the next few months Andrew will work to narrow things down.
“I will be ready to narrow it more after visiting some spring practices and some spring games,” said Williams.
What will be important when the top defensive end makes his final decision?
“I will probably just look at the school aspect. I will look at the coaches and the football program itself,” replied Williams.
The Clemson staff is working hard to convince Andrew he could see the field early as a Tiger.
“They are telling me I am their No. 1 guy and they only have one or two slots for defensive end. They definitely want me at Clemson. They say I can come in early and play,” said Williams.
The next few months will be critical as a decision is approaching.
“I will probably go ahead and do it before my senior season because it is so stressful,” said Williams.
