Clemson, SC – The Tiger’s bats came alive Wednesday afternoon in a 9-2 victory over Wofford.
Shane Kennedy was 3-3 on the afternoon with three RBI’s. Jay Baum was also a perfect 3-3 on the day. Thomas Brittle was 2-4 while Steven Duggar drove in four RBI’s.
Matthew Crownover got the start for the Tigers and earned the win going 5.0 inning and only giving up three hits, one run and on earned run.
Clemson took the lead in the first inning. Thomas Brittle singled to start the inning. After three straight walks Brittle score to put the Tigers up 1-0.
The Tigers added two more runs in the third. Kennedy’s triple scored Wilkerson then Duggar’s sacrifice fly scored Kennedy.
Clemson added three runs in the fifth inning. Kennedy singled to score Baum. Duggar doubled to left scoring Kennedy and Wilkerson and put the Tigers up 6-1.
The Tigers added three insurance runs in the seventh inning. Kennedy singled to score Brittle. Reed doubled to score Wilkerson and Baum.
Clemson travels to Raleigh to take on NC State in a series that starts Friday night at 6:30 PM.
