The ACC went 40-14 in non-conference action over the last week to move to 115-33 (.777) on the year. Five teams (Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, North Carolina, & Virginia) had undefeated weeks and seven teams (Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami (FL), NC State, North Carolina, Virginia, & Virginia Tech) are ranked in at least one of the three major polls this week led by the top-ranked Tar Heels. The three teams slated to join the ACC in coming seasons (Louisville, Notre Dame, & Pittsburgh) went 5-5 last weekend with three of the losses coming by one run.

Conference play kicks into high gear this weekend in the ACC, highlighted by #14 Georgia Tech traveling to #24 Virginia Tech. Among the incoming members, Notre Dame travels to the Dodgertown Classic where it faces two top-10 teams.

The Eagles dropped two of three games to Georgia State last weekend in St. Petersburg, FL before splitting a midweek series at South Florida. This weekend Boston College continues their swing through Florida with a three-game ACC series at #5 Florida State.
