Over ten prospects visited Clemson over the weekend and one of the youngest was 2016 running back Antonio Williams.
“It went great. I loved the facilities. It felt like home,” said Williams.
The New London, NC standout already is hearing from some of the top programs in the South.
“Clemson, NC State, South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia are all showing interest,” said Williams.
A strong runner Antonio compares himself to Arian Foster, or Adrian Peterson.
“I fight for yards. Every time I get the ball I gain yards.” said Williams.
Coach Pearman is recruiting Antonio for the Tigers.
“The coaches are great,” Antonio said. “I talk to coach Pearman almost every week. I met Coach Elliot for the first time today. When we were walking through the weight room I said hi, I’m Antonio, and before I could finish he cut me off. He said I know who you are.”
Overall it seemed like Antonio had a great visit to Tiger town. He will be a good one to keep an eye on over the next few years. As his recruiting heats up, Antonio could very well end up being one of the top running backs in the nation.
