TCI Hitter-of-the Week #5 Joe Costigan
The junior outfielder from Naples, FL stepped into the DH role in a big way this weekend and earned his first TCI Hitter-of-the-Week honor by going 5-for-11 (.455) in four games last week. Costigan had four doubles, five RBI, one run, and two walks.

The senior righthander from San Diego, CA had a solid midweek start for the Tigers in earning a win over Gardner-Webb. Meyer tossed 7.0 innings, allowing one run (earned) on five hits with no walks and six strikeouts.

Weekly Notes:
Clemson went 6-1 in seven games this past week. The Tigers wrapped up a series by splitting two Monday games at #1 North Carolina, picked up a midweek win over Gardner-Webb, and swept three games at Boston College. Clemson outscored the opposition 28-18 while outhitting their opponents .264 (57 hits) to .214 (43 hits). The Tigers totaled 12 doubles, a triple, homer, 19 walks, and 41 strikeouts while going 9-for-13 on stolen bases. Clemson’s pitching staff had a 2.45 ERA in the seven games, allowing 18 runs (15 earned) in 55.0 innings pitched with 23 walks against 32 strikeouts. The Tigers fielded at a .983 clip, committing four errors in 237 chances.

Leggett Moving Up The All-Time Wins Lists
As TCI has followed over the past two seasons, Clemson Head Coach Jack Leggett has been moving up the All-Times Wins List by a Division I Head Coach. With a 10-5 win over Morehead State on March 19, 2013, Leggett moved into 12th place on the all-time wins list and recently recorded his 850th win at Clemson with a 5-3 win over Wright State on February 23, 2013. This season Leggett again should move up several spots on the list and TCI will continue to track his climb throughout the 2013 season.
