The ACC, the top rated conference in the RPI, went 19-5 against non-conference opponents this past week to improve to 230-62 (.788) against non-ACC opponents. Florida State (5-0), Miami (FL) (3-0), NC State (4-0), and North Carolina (2-0) all had undefeated weeks and seven teams (Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, Virginia, & Virginia Tech) are ranked in at least one of the three major polls this week led by the top-ranked Tar Heels. The three teams slated to join the ACC in coming seasons (Louisville, Notre Dame, and Pittsburgh) went 10-2 during the week as they moved to a combined 104-40 (.712) this season while the Cardinals and Panthers are both ranked in the top-25.
