Coach Dabo Swinney got two verbal commitments Friday from a pair of players he knows very well. JD and Judah Davis, sons of former Tigers great Jeff Davis, have committed to the Tigers.
“We have been to camp for three days. After the end of camp coach Swinney offered us a scholarship. We committed in his office,” said JD.
What was coach Swinney’s reaction to the news?
“He was excited. He gave us a hug. It was a win, win for both of us,” said JD.
JD and Judah plan to build their own legacy at Clemson.
“My dad had a great legacy at Clemson. It will be great to have him around us every day to watch us and help us. Hopefully we can build our own legacy,” said JD.

How does it feel to be a Tiger?
“It is awesome. It is a dream come true,” said JD.
Both play linebacker at Daniel High School and camped there this week. They have both been offered grey shirt scholarships for the Tigers and plan to enroll in January of 2015.
