For a while Sunday night it looked like 4-star linebacker Kendall Joseph would be joining he ACC, but as a Duke Blue Devil. A call to coach Venables changed everything.
“I was about to commit do Duke, but I talked to coach Venables one more time and he got me thinking,” said Joseph.
After speaking with coach Venables, Kendall discussed his big decision with his grandfather.
“I talked with my grandad about it and decided Clemson was the best fit for me,” said Joseph.
Late Sunday night the BHP standout decided he would commit to Clemson.
“I made my final decision about 10:15 last night. I called the coaches and told them about 10:30. They were real excited. They told me they think I will be a great addition to the locker room. They think I am a great linebacker and they were glad I will be part of the family at Clemson,” said Joseph.
What was the biggest thing that put the Tigers over the top Sunday night?
“It was talking to coach Venables. When you look at his pedigree he is one of the best coaches at developing linebackers. He can help me become the best player,” replied Joseph.
How does it feel to have the decision made?
“It is a big relief. Now I can focus on my senior year and what I need to do to help my team,” replied Joseph.
